Tumbling Trampoline/Freestyle Trampoline

Tumbling
Boys & Girls
Ages: 8 – 19 years
Class Length: 1-1.5 hours
Tumbling 1 is designed to introduce students to the basics of tumbling and to help them develop a strong foundation. The fundamental tumbling movements that students will learn include:
- Front and Backward Rolls
- Handstand
- Cartwheel
- Round-off
- Front and Back Tucks (Flips)
- Front and Back Handsprings
No prior experience in gymnastics is necessary to enroll in this class. To advance to Tumbling 2, students must independently perform the first four skills on the floor and the last two skills either on the Tumbl Trak or trampoline.
Please note that fees (annual registration and Gymnastics BC membership) and first month’s tuition (pro-rated as applicable) will be charged at or shortly after the time of registration to hold your child’s spot in the class. If you are waitlisted, you will not be charged until a spot becomes available and you confirm enrolment at that time.
2024/2025 Session
Tumbling 2 builds on the fundamentals taught in Tumbling 1, focusing on further development of the students’ tumbling skills and introducing simple tumbling sequences. The intermediate tumbling movements covered in this course include:
- Round off – Back Handspring
- Round off – Back Tuck
- Front Handspring – Front tuck
- Front and Back Half Twisting
- Front and Back Pike/Layouts
Admission to this course requires completion of Tumbling 1 or a skill assessment approved by a coach. If an assessment is required, please contact our front office. To move on to Tumbling 3, students must be able to perform all the listed skills on the Tumbl Trak or trampoline independently.

2024/2025 Session
Tumbling 3 is tailored for students with a robust understanding of basic and intermediate tumbling skills, ready to explore complex tumbling sequences. Due to the increase in physical requirements, students will complete strength and conditioning exercises each class. The advanced tumbling movements taught in this class include:
- Round off – Back Handspring – Back Tuck/Pike/Layout
- Round off – Back Handspring Series
- Front Handspring – Front Tuck/Pike/Layout
- Front Handspring Series
- Front and Back Full Twisting
This class requires either completion of Tumbling 2 or an approved skill assessment conducted by a coach. To book an assessment, kindly contact our front office. In Tumbling 3, students aim to perform all the above skills independently, either on the Rod Floor or Sprung Floor.
The following skills are not taught as part of the Tumbling curriculum but can be requested by students wishing to learn:
- Front and Back Walkovers
- Front and Side Aerials
- Side Flips

Trampoline
Boys & Girls
Ages: 8 – 16 years
Class Length: 1 hour
Trampoline 1 is a great introduction to the thrilling world of Trampoline Gymnastics (with all of its ups and downs). Covering basic safety skills such as controlling jumps for height and stopping the trampoline to core shape skills like seat, front, and back drops and beyond to more dynamic and complex movements like swivel hips, cruise and cradle skills this class is perfect for anyone looking for a fun and hopping good time.
Trampoline 2 is tailored for those who are comfortable with basic trampoline skills and would like to progress more intermediate skills involving flipping and twisting.
Please note that fees (annual registration and Gymnastics BC membership) and first month’s tuition (pro-rated as applicable) will be charged at or shortly after the time of registration to hold your child’s spot in the class. If you are waitlisted, you will not be charged until a spot becomes available and you confirm enrolment at that time.

Freestyle Trampoline

Ages: 8 – 16 years
Class Length: 1 hour
This class is an exploration into the world of non-traditional trampoline movements designed to accommodate practice and development for a wide variety of skill levels from inexperienced backyard bouncers to those who have spent time mastering the slopes. Utilizing a range of trampoline games and techniques, this class aims to increase the athlete’s comfort and ability with off-axis flips and twists.
